April 14 2008 Meeting


April 14th meeting was called to order at 7PM.

MJ red the minutes from the March 10th meeting. Tim K. moved to accept the minutes as red, John T seconded the motion, motion passed.

Tim K announced new members Bob Johnson and his 68 4x4 El Camino, Al Gordon with an 81 and 82 El Camino and Bob and Geri Sandrich with their 70 El Camino and 70 Buick 225 convertible. Club members introduced themselves and their cars.


OLD BUSINESS:
Dennis reminded everyone of regionals coming up June 27-28th. Jim J reminded everyone of MADWACO on May 17. Jim stated that he will be going up early and that at the next meeting the plans will be set.

Wil reminded everyone that the LAKE AUCTION is coming up and that he is passing around a sign up sheet. Wil reminded everyone that there is to be NO consumption of alcoholic beverages and that you can only work one shift per day.

Wil announced that they swap meet in Kellyville is this coming weekend and that he has reserved a 10'x20' space. Jim J stated that he reserved a space of the same size directly behind Wil. Jim J red the flier for the swap meet and informed everyone that the space must contain at least 80% car or motorcycle related items and that there is a $20 car coral parking fee if you wish to sell a car. Tim K made motion that the club reimburse Wil and Jim for their lots as they welcomed club members to bring items that they wish to sell. Jim J seconded the motion but stated that he does not wish to be reimbursed as he will be taking up most of his space with his items. Motion passed.

It was announced that the Late Greats are having a poker run on May 4th at no charge to the club. They are meeting at Creek County Court at 1PM. Wil announced that they will provide the Late Greats will provide the meat, flatware and plates and asked that each club member attending bring a side.

Wil announced that Pam Scott's mother passed away and that the funeral was today.

Wil announced that on May 3rd in Owasso "The Vault" is having their 3rd annual Crusin' For Kids car show. Registration opens at 10AM.

Dennis stated that Greg B. is looking for cruise in suggestions, and to see Greg to submit. This month cruise in is to Ollie's. Meet at the Social Security Building at 4:30, pullout is at 4:45.

Everyone was reminded that Dale Turner and his Tuesday Night Cruise In's are back in full swing at Fudruckers on 71st Street.

After much discussion and debate as to whether to keep our insurance current Greg B made motion to renew our insurance. Tim K seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Tim S announced that he has extra fliers.

Dennis announced that Saturday May 10 is the Rooster Day parade and that we will need to register if we are participating. Dennis stated that we will meet at the Braum's on Elm south of 71st Street and that we will leave as a club at 8:30 AM.

Jim J stated that he has applications for the Regionals Car Show and that if you would like your card judged to indicate it on the form.

Dennis reminded everyone that the last Friday of the month is Sonic Night.

John K red the treasurers report. John T moved to accept the report as red, Greg B seconded the motion. Motion passed.

50/50 pot winner is Tim S....AGAIN...and this time he is keeping it for himself.

Tim K moved to adjourn the meeting, Greg B
